APS (Arizona Public Service)

FM Solutions has an ongoing 8-year strategic alliance with Pinnacle West Capital Corporation to provide design and construction management services to Arizona Public Service, a Pinnacle West subsidiary.  APS has 120 buildings located on 60 sites with land holdings of more than 2,000 acres.  Their facilities include customer service offices, administration offices, maintenance shops, warehouses, crew rooms and storage yards totaling more than 1.5 million square feet.

Duquesne Light Company

Duquesne Light Company provides electricity for 590,000 customers in Southwestern Pennsylvania. Upon selling their generation they needed to downsize the downtown corporate headquarters, readjust adjacencies in administration buildings and relocate service centers to better serve their customers. FM Solutions created a 10 year master plan that included consolidating into half the space in their corporate headquarters, reallocating space in administrative buildings and closing, remodeling or building new service centers. We also relocated their warehouse from an old train car facility that had high O&M costs to a leased warehouse right next to their new training facility. FMS helped the facilities staff adjust the size and make-up of their workforce to match the updated needs of their facilities.

SRP (Salt River Project)

In 1990 Salt River Project (SRP), the Nation’s third largest multi-purpose municipal utility company, committed to realigning its business strategy with the changing pattern of energy consumption.  Members of FM Solutions’ team were tasked with creating a Facility Management Program that would support SRP’s new financial objectives by eliminating the need for additional capital borrowing.
